As a result of these two phenomena, there is not sufficient starlight to make space something but black. The incontrovertible fact that outer area is black is usually called Olbers’ paradox. This contradiction was first noted in 1823 by German astronomer Heinrich Wilhelm Matthias Olbers, who posed the query of why the night sky was black.
